Affirmation Starts Here: A Foundational Course for SLPs Supporting Gender-Diverse Clients
A 6-module, self-paced course for speech-language pathologists ready to build affirming, ethical, and confident practice with trans and nonbinary individuals.
This course offers 2.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) applicable toward ASHA certification maintenance (CCC-SLP). Participants will receive a certificate of completion documenting 2.5 PDH hours, which may be self-reported to ASHA during their 3-year certification maintenance interval. ASHA does not require courses to be from an Approved CE Provider — PDHs from any professionally relevant activity count toward the 30-hour requirement. This can be used towards the required 2 hours related to cultural competence, cultural humility, culturally responsive practices.
